Inspiration. Ever asked yourself what truly motivates and inspires yourself? I ask myself that frequently. I often wonder why I haven’t found that ‘one thing’ that motivates me day in/day out. Perhaps I continue to be on the journey of finding what drives me. On the other hand, each day I seem to have a different motivation or point of inspiration. I wonder if that’s a bad thing or a good thing? Is my ever changing inspirations a manner of keeping life fresh?…or is it an indication that I’m still floating through life trying to find my lasting inspiration.
Every morning, well most mornings anyway, I send birthday greetings to my Facebook friends. I’ll also spend a few moments browsing thru my newsfeed to get updates on my friends overnight. It’s usually during this time I run across inspirational videos. It’s a great start to my morning and I absolutely love inspiring stories. I keep in relatively good shape but one of my favorite shows “Extreme Weight Loss” with Chris Powell because I love to see the determination people get, to learn their journeys, and ultimately to see one succeed in achieving their goals. (Read a great interview with Chris & Heidi Powell here). I also find myself wishing to be one of those people, who make a 365 day commitment to something. Boy howdy the things we could accomplish in our life if we just committed 365 days to things!
I digress because my intention when I set down to write this wasn’t about the EWL show, but to share an inspirational video I saw this morning on Facebook. I’d seen it many times before but never fails me I just LOVE this video! It was shared by many people, but I found it from a friend sharing it from Frank Medrano who is a very impressive specimen himself! However the story and video came from Diamond Dallas who trained Arthur Boorman and his transformation through DDP Yoga. In a nutshell, Arthur is a wounded veteran who had given up on life….then something clicked….and he video graphed his transformation. Lesson learned: Never give up on yourself. When you believe in yourself you can accomplish anything!
